Floating Benches by Andy Langley is a bold and minimalist steel sculpture. Measuring 61cm high, 272cm wide, and 30cm deep, the piece presents two L-shaped benches that appear to float in space.
Each bench forms a strong geometric silhouette. The shorter side of the “L” acts as a base, while the longer side stretches outward, extending in opposite directions. This creates a sense of tension and balance, as if the benches are both separate and connected at once. The clean lines emphasize their blocky, architectural form, giving the sculpture a modern and structured aesthetic.
Langley smooths the steel surfaces meticulously, enhancing the sleekness of the benches. One is finished in black and the other in white, creating a striking visual contrast that draws the eye along the length of the sculpture. Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 2 people, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
