Celebration of Form by Tim Threlfall is a unique sandstone sculpture, standing under 100 cm tall. The piece rises in three stacked sections, each one playing a vital role in the composition. The lower sections act as the plinth, steady and strong. They anchor the sculpture and guide the eye upward. Their simplicity contrasts with the more expressive form above.

On top rests the focal point. This section feels alive with movement. One side is rough, its chiselled texture showing the strength of the stone. The other side curves smoothly into a spiral, resembling a flower bud about to unfurl. The transition between rough and smooth gives the form energy, suggesting both raw strength and delicate growth.

The balance between the three sections matters. The plinth supports, while the spiral inspires. The sculpture grows from structure into expression, much like nature rising out of the earth. Moreover, the contrast of texture and shape pulls the viewer in, encouraging close inspection. From one angle, the form looks solid and heavy. From another, it feels light and fluid, as though about to open further.
