Barra Suite 9 by Tim Threlfall is a unique stone sculpture standing no taller than 50 cm. The work features a single, abstract form with gently curved sides. A small, off-center oval hole passes through the piece, drawing the eye through its hollow.
The surface is roughly carved, giving the stone a tactile, natural feel. Its irregular texture enhances the sculpture’s organic quality, while the overall shape suggests something almost bonelike. The curves and contours create a sense of movement, as if the stone itself is bending or flowing.
Light interacts with the carved surface and the oval void, casting subtle shadows and emphasizing the form’s depth. The off-center hole prevents symmetry, making the piece feel dynamic and alive. It seems to balance tension and openness, solidity and void, in a quiet yet deliberate way.
Although abstract, the sculpture evokes nature and organic forms. The bone-like shape and rough texture suggest resilience, growth, or transformation. The piece encourages viewers to explore its curves and negative space, inviting reflection on form, texture, and balance.

Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
