Barra Suite 3 by Tim Threlfall is a unique stone sculpture standing no higher than 70 cm. The work consists of two upright stone forms positioned parallel to each other, leaving a narrow, elongated gap between them.
The abstract composition draws the eye along the thin hollow space, creating tension and balance. Each stone is roughly carved, giving the surface a raw, tactile quality. The texture enhances the organic feel of the piece, which appears almost bonelike in shape.
The two forms seem to converse silently, their alignment and spacing emphasizing both separation and connection. Light and shadow play across the rough surfaces, adding depth and subtly changing the sculpture’s appearance depending on the viewing angle.
Despite its simplicity, the work evokes a strong sense of presence. The roughness contrasts with the slender negative space, creating a rhythm that feels both natural and deliberate. The abstract shapes suggest elements of nature or anatomy, yet remain open to interpretation, allowing viewers to project their own ideas onto the piece.

Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
