Barra Suite 11 by Tim Threlfall is a unique stone sculpture, standing no taller than 50 cm. The piece takes an abstract, fan-like form, with deep, pronounced ridges running across its surface. These ridges split at the base, creating a small gap that introduces a subtle sense of openness and tension.
The sculpture’s overall shape is organic, almost bonelike, and its texture reinforces this natural impression. The rough, tactile surface emphasizes the materiality of the stone, while the ridges guide the eye upward and outward, giving the piece a dynamic presence despite its modest size.
The fan shape suggests expansion and growth, yet the split at the bottom creates an intimate interplay between separation and connection. Light and shadow dance across the ridges, accentuating the depth and contours of the carved surface. The irregularity and roughness of the stone lend a raw, elemental quality, making the sculpture feel grounded in nature.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
