Wilfred Tembo was born in 1965 in Centenary, Zimbabwe.
Early Life
He relocated to Tengenenge in 1993. He is married and a father of five. His son, Knowledge Tembo, is also a sculptor.
Career
Tembo is a sculptor known for his functional and artistic stone works. He has created stone stools for members of parliamentary houses, and his work has been sold and collected internationally.

He works primarily with locally sourced stone.

His work follows the Shona sculptural tradition, often focusing on animals such as cats and baboons, as well as carved chairs.
