Stan Jankowski was born in Solihull in 1953.

Early Life
He developed a passion for art from an early age and later worked as an apprentice making frames for racing motorcycles before starting his own family and eventually moving to Wales.

Career
Stan is a copper artist and weathervane maker based in Powys, Wales, creating bespoke metalwork for individuals, businesses, and public buildings. He also works on school and community art projects, including organisations such as Arts Connection. His work has been exhibited and installed across three continents, including appearances at The Welsh Assembly and The Royal Welsh Show, as well as in television and film productions.

Materials
He works primarily in copper and brass, using traditional metalworking methods.

Style & Subject
His sculptures include weathervanes, wind sculptures, and bespoke decorative pieces inspired by landscape, wildlife, and local legends. His process uses free-form and repoussé techniques, combining hand-drawn design with detailed metal shaping to create highly individual works developed in close collaboration with clients.
