Miguel Angel was born in 1971 in Lagos de Moreno, Mexico
EARLY LIFE:
In 1997 Miguel Angel travelled from Mexico to Florence, Italy where he lived until 2007. Here he directed the design area of a ceramic factory for 4 years; He then was a professor of sculpture at the ADA art academy for 3 years. “During the 10 years he was in Italy he was fortunate to work with many different artists and in many different techniques, including painting, etching, fresco, sculpture and installation. In three-dimensional art.
EDUCATION:
He studied fine Arts at the Cabanas Cultural Instituto from 1992 – 1995, specializing in wood and stone carving. This was where he found his love of colour in sculpture.
MEDIUMS USED IN WORK:
Miguel likes to mix bronze with resin, ceramics and other materials. Bronze being his favourite medium.
SUBJECTS OF WORK:
Metamorphosis, Change and Movement. In his bronze sculptures he likes to use 4 elements water, wind, fire and earth. The eyes are closed on the faces which portray sleep and sleep is where the impossible can become possible.
