Born in Winchester, Hampshire.
LIVES:
Farnham, Surrey. Uk
EARLY LIFE:
She was married in 1957 and shortly afterwards moved to Zambia, and then onto Sierra Leone where she spent the next ten years raising her family and teaching hands on art to children in local schools.
EDUCATION:
Jane attended the Winchester College of Art from 1953 – 1956 where she was classically trained in all aspects of fine art, majoring on her love of sculpting.
CAREER:
Jane returned to England in 1969 and settled with her family in Farnham, Surrey where she continued to teach and work as a sculptor, creating a number of works for the public arena, as well as producing many portrait sculptures for private commissions. On a number of occasions she has exhibited at the Mall Galleries, Guildhall and Cork Street galleries in London as well as other important national exhibitions. Jane continues to be a regular exhibiting and active member of the Surrey Sculpture Society.

SUBJECTS OF WORK:
Working mostly from human figure, often as an icon or with a mythological reference, she is also drawn to the lighter side using movement and humour, with ideas of the figure moving through space; but her basic instinct still lies in the discipline of life study and portraiture.
