Isaac Choloka was born in 1979 in Zimbabwe.
EARLY LIFE:
He grew up as the youngest of eight children. While at high school in Chegutu, he developed an early talent for drawing cartoons, which marked the beginning of his artistic journey.
LIVES:
He is based in Zimbabwe, with important early development taking place in Harare.
CAREER:
Isaac Choloka began sculpting in 1998 after being inspired at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Harare, where he met other artists and developed his practice. He has since built a successful career as a sculptor and has received multiple awards.
