BORN:

Ephious Chvhanga was born in 1940 in Guruve, Zimbabwe.

EARLY LIFE:

Chvhanga is a member of the Kore Kore tribe and grew up in a rural environment. Much of his early life was spent herding livestock and observing animals, experiences that strongly influenced his artistic development. His close connection to nature is reflected in his work. He continues to balance sculpting with working on his farm.

EDUCATION:

 His artistic skills were developed through experience and cultural tradition.

CAREER:

Chvhanga developed his career as a sculptor while maintaining his rural lifestyle. His work reflects both his cultural heritage and personal experiences, contributing to the broader tradition of Zimbabwean stone sculpture.
