Born in Guruve, Northern Zimbabwe, 1935

Waterfalls, Harare.

EARLY LIFE:
It was Edwards cousin Henry Munyaradzi who was already an established artist working at the nearby Tengenenge sculpture community and is now one of the most famous Shona artist within the Shona sculpture movement, who inspired him to start sculpting in 1970. In the late 1970s, the war of independence forced the temporary closure of Tengenenge. Edward joined the National Gallery in Salisbury (now Harare) and sculpted there as a member for over 20 years. He now lives and works in Waterfalls, Harare.
