EDUCATION: 

In 2001, Dawn pursued art history at the University of Queensland, Australia. Subsequently, Dawn engaged in a decade-long academic art education, studying art and design at Central St Martins College in London, and continuing with independent study and organic experimentation.

In 2024, Dawn pursued advanced academic studies at the Florence Academy of Art, further refining her technical skills and deepening her artistic practice within a world-renowned institution dedicated to classical training in figurative art.

SUBJECTS OF WORK: 

Figurative sculptor whose work captures the essence of memory, wonder, and joy. Through expressive forms and fluid movement, Dawn transforms fleeting emotions into timeless sculptures, inviting viewers to reconnect with moments of nostalgia, delight, and human connection.

MATERIALS: 

In the early days, while making mixed media sculptures, Dawn would spend time online and at markets finding discarded textiles and interesting treasures, combining them with reclaimed timber or steel. Dawn now concentrates on sculptures cast in Resin and Bronze.

ACHEIVEMENTS:

Her work has been recognised on prestigious platforms, with an award-winning piece exhibited at RHS Wisley Garden for four years. She has also appeared on BBC One’s Home Is Where the Art Is, sharing her artistic journey with a national audience. Her talent was further celebrated with gold medal wins at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in both 2023 and 2024.
