We would be delighted to welcome you to this special presentation of Sean Crampton’s work and to share the story of a remarkable sculptor whose art was shaped by courage, faith and a lifelong dedication to his craft.

Sean Crampton’s life was defined by an extraordinary combination of artistic achievement, wartime courage and deep Catholic spirituality. His religious sculptures form an important part of his legacy, reflecting his enduring fascination with the human form, the spiritual and the mysterious.

Offered by his son, Dan Crampton, an enthusiastic, passionate and knowledgeable advocate of his father’s work, this exhibition gives a personal insight into both the artist and the man behind the sculptures

From powerful religious works to more intimate studies, the collection reveals how Crampton’s remarkable life experiences found expression in bronze – creating works that continue to resonate with meaning, emotion and spiritual depth.
