Timothy Trelfall’s Vertebrae from the Barra Suite No. 4 embodies both strength and fragility, transforming the familiar structure of a bone into a refined work of sculptural art. Cast in bronze and standing 48 centimetres high, the piece commands attention with its aged patina and timeworn surface. Rather than merely replicating anatomy, Trelfall reimagines the vertebra as a symbol of endurance, memory, and the organic architecture of life.
The bronze’s antiqued finish deepens its sense of history. Warm, earthy tones and subtle green oxidations suggest a relic unearthed after centuries, something ancient yet timeless. The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
