This piece is a unique granite sculpture measuring 167 cm high, 73 cm wide, and 52 cm deep. It presents a female figure emerging gracefully from the stone. Only parts of her body are revealed, while the rest remains fused with the unshaped granite behind her. This merging of polished form and raw material creates a striking balance between presence and concealment.
The figure’s face is calm and relaxed, her features softened by the smooth finish. Her posture suggests gentle movement, as if she is stepping out of the stone itself. The transition between worked surfaces and untouched granite emphasizes both delicacy and strength, giving the impression of life forming from the raw block.
Granite’s natural texture contrasts with the refined carving of the visible body. Light reflects off polished areas, highlighting curves and contours, while shadows deepen across the rough stone. This interplay enhances the illusion of emergence, with the figure appearing in motion yet firmly connected to her origins.

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require specialised equipment, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park and outside sources. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
