Poseidon is a figurative stone resin and steel sculpture, standing 220 cm high, 175 cm wide, and 100 cm deep. The piece depicts the powerful sea god in bust form, complete with upper torso and right arm. His muscular build is boldly defined, emphasizing strength and authority. Poseidon’s head turns to the left, his gaze commanding, while his right hand grips a tall trident that rises upward, anchoring the composition.

The sculptor captures energy in the flowing hair and beard, which ripple around his face as if caught in ocean wind. This detail contrasts with the solidity of the torso and trident, balancing movement with weight. The figure embodies both calm power and untamed force, qualities fitting for the god of the sea.

In addition to its presence as a sculpture, the piece functions as a water feature. A hidden tube runs through the structure, channelling water to the god’s mouth. When active, Poseidon appears to spit water outward, animating the work and enhancing its mythological energy. The flowing water reinforces his identity as ruler of seas, merging art and function.

The use of stone resin and steel adds durability while allowing fine detail. The materials reflect both ancient stone monuments and modern design, linking past and present. Overall, the sculpture combines mythology, craftsmanship, and movement into a commanding centrepiece.
