Moongate by Simon Probyn is a large abstract steel sculpture, measuring 226cm high, 220cm wide, and 32cm deep. The work takes the form of a vast circular hoop, a simple yet powerful gesture in steel. Its bold, geometric presence stands firmly within its surroundings, while its open centre invites viewers to move through it, transforming the sculpture into both an object and an experience.
Probyn’s choice of material gives Moongate a striking presence. The steel surface carries an industrial strength, yet its perfect circular form brings a sense of harmony and balance. The hoop recalls ancient stone or wooden gateways, while reimagining the idea in a thoroughly modern, minimal language. Its clean lines allow it to interact dynamically with its environment, framing the landscape, shifting as one moves, and drawing attention to the space it encloses.

Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
