Swing Bench is a unique wooden sculpture that doubles as furniture. It measures 200cm high, 310cm wide, and 130cm deep. The piece combines natural forms with functional design.

The structure uses many pieces of wood in their raw state. Large logs create a frame that feels rugged and organic. In contrast, the seat has been smoothed and carved from a single log. This polished surface gives comfort while still showing the grain and texture of the timber.

Chains suspend the seat in mid-air. This simple choice introduces movement and lightness to the heavy frame. The swing creates a sense of calm and invites viewers to sit and interact. The balance between solid structure and gentle motion defines the character of the piece.

The sculpture celebrates the beauty of natural wood. By leaving most of the material untouched, the artist highlights its raw strength and individuality. The smoothed seat shows careful craftsmanship and respect for function. Together these qualities create a harmony between nature and design.

Delivery & Installation

The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 2 people, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.

This piece will require dismantling and rebuilding upon arrival, and may take a few days to complete. Experienced professionals handle all our sculptures, ensuring safe delivery and proper installation.
