Tiger by Lukasz Juchniewicz, Mild Steel, Unique, 280cm high, 60cm wide, 60cm deep, Kinetic sculpture
Tiger by Lukasz Juchniewicz is a mesmerizing kinetic sculpture that comes alive with the power of the wind. Constructed from mild steel and finished in vivid orange with bold black stripes, this dynamic piece captures attention instantly. Designed to captivate, Tiger showcases fluid motion at every glance.
The sculpture features a square frame housing sixteen meticulously hand shaped metal blades. Each blade mounts on four axles with stainless steel bearings, ensuring smooth, continuous rotation. As the wind flows, the kinetic crown of blades begins to spin, creating an ever-changing visual display that echoes the grace and power of a tiger in motion. In this way, Tiger fuses physics and engineering, demonstrating the harmony between structure and movement.
Moreover, Tiger is made to order and can be disassembled into smaller parts for easy transport and installation. Created for outdoor display, it interacts with the elements, engaging viewers in a hypnotic dance of motion, colour, and light.
Lukasz Juchniewicz was born in Poland, where his father owned a metal workshop. Here, he learned the basics of metalwork, blacksmithing, and traditional forging techniques. Later, he moved to the UK in 2005 and became a self-taught artist, blacksmith, and metal sculptor based in Oxfordshire, focusing primarily on kinetic sculpture.
