This piece by Tonderai Sowa is a unique Shona sculpture carved from springstone. The work presents a compact, abstract form that curves and twists around itself. The flowing lines fold inward and outward, creating a continuous rhythm that evokes both motion and balance.
The surface of the springstone is polished to a smooth finish, giving the sculpture a refined sheen that emphasizes its curves. Light glides across the arcs, deepening shadows in recesses and brightening the edges. This play of light and dark enhances the sculpture’s sense of movement, making the form feel alive as it winds around itself.
Although compact, the piece carries a strong presence. Its twisting shape creates depth and dimension, offering new perspectives as the viewer moves around it. Each angle reveals another turn, another line, reinforcing the theme of continuity suggested by the title.

Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
