This piece by Nesbert Mukomberanwa is a unique Shona springstone sculpture measuring 57 cm high, 72 cm wide, and 17 cm deep. The piece forms a shallow, curving loop, rising from a thick central base that rests firmly on the ground. From this centre, each side sweeps upward and around, creating mirrored arcs that nearly meet in the middle without touching. The open space between the ends gives the work a sense of tension, balance, and quiet anticipation.
The curves rise and fall with gentle elegance, guiding the eye along the continuous rhythm of the form. The mirrored ends bend upward slightly, echoing each other and reinforcing the sculpture’s sense of harmony and symmetry. The simplicity of the shape allows the fluidity of the lines to take centre stage.
The surface is carefully smoothed and polished to a deep black finish. Light glances across the curves, highlighting the subtle transitions and the careful shaping of the stone. The polished surface contrasts with the weight of the solid springstone, giving the piece both strength and grace.

Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
