Vincent Jack

Vincent Jack was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1977.
Early Life
He grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe, an experience that would later inform the themes of his artistic practice.
Education
After moving to the United Kingdom in 1998, he studied Fine Art at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design, before graduating in 2004.
Career
Following his graduation, Jack worked as an apprentice to Terrence Clark, collaborating on works exhibited in both private and public settings. Driven by a passion for precision and craftsmanship, he later founded London Bronze Casting, establishing a foundry built on values of care, collaboration, and excellence, while supporting the sustainability of bronze casting for contemporary artists.
Materials
Vincent works primarily with metals, using various forging processes and bronze casting techniques.
Style & Subject
Vincent’s work explores themes of disintegration, displacement, and reconstruction, reflecting his experience as a Zimbabwean expatriate. His practice focuses on large-scale abstract forms, created through a combination of traditional and contemporary forging techniques.
