Education
Stephen moved to England in 1933 with his parents, where he attended school. After school, he served in the Royal Artillery before studying sculptures at Hammersmith School of Art and later at the Royal College of Art.
Career
He worked across multiple disciplines including sculpture, painting, and printmaking. He also taught during his career, writing, and lecturing in Fine Art, and contributing to art education alongside his creative practice.
Materials
His sculptural work was primarily produced in bronze.
