EARLY LIFE:
Shepard enjoyed arts as a child but due to such rural locations he was unable to pursue it at school as there were no lessons. He still liked to draw, and focused on animals and wildlife.
CAREER:
Shepard had injured himself and had time to think about what he wanted to do for a career and in 2007 he began to wash and clean sculptures where his wife worked. He had a great talent at this and was asked if he would consider sculpting, so he began his carvings, making small animals and birds which showed great skill and craftsmanship.
