Ronnie’s mother and stepfather Locardia and Joseph were well known artists in Zimbabwe. When Ronnie first left school, although he loved art, he went into teaching. He said it is hard trying to make a living from sculpting in Zimbabwe as you are always relying on tourism to make sales. He wanted to choose a different career but he says growing up in a family of artist it is inevitable he will become a sculptor. His work now belongs in many private and public collections.
