Romano Costi was born in Treviso, Italy in 1940. He passed away in 2014.

Education
He studied at Carmini Art High School in Venice, where he completed his formal artistic training.

Career
Since the 1960s, Costi established himself as a well-known sculptor, exhibiting extensively across Italy, including in Venice, Rome, Porto Rotondo, Bergamo, and Milan. Over time, his career expanded internationally, with exhibitions held in various locations around the world.

Materials
Costi worked primarily with metal, particularly bronze, and in later years incorporated contemporary materials such as carbon fibre to achieve lighter structures and a more modern visual impact.

Style & Subject
His sculptures often depict the human figure, characterized by elongated or exaggerated proportions. Despite these distortions, his work maintains a strong sense of elegance and balance, blending classical themes with contemporary expression.
