Career
Peter Mountain is a UK-based sculptor who lives and works in Manchester. In addition to his sculptural practice, he works as a designer, pyrotechnician, and performer with Walk the Plank, contributing to large-scale outdoor art events, opening ceremonies, parades, and firework displays. He is also an associate designer within the organisation, collaborating with artists, theatre makers, and event engineers. He has also researched digital sculpture at Salford University.
Mountain is a leading exponent of sculptural bonfire building and has designed numerous pyrotechnic installations across the UK. He has participated in both solo and group exhibitions and has completed a wide range of commissions for private, commercial, and public spaces. He has also worked as a visiting lecturer at various colleges.
