Nigel had many professional careers before becoming a sculptor including computing, animation, photography and automotive design. He now concentrates souley on his sculpting. His sculptures are usually made from sheet metal, copper, steel, brass, aluminium, recycled and found objects. He gets his inspiration from many different sources including industrial archaeology, ethnic mask making, heritage transport and modern abstract sculpture. His work has been exhibited in many exhibitions across the UK and can be found in many collections in Spain, Australia, USA and New Zealand. Being a photographer he has a fascination for detail and patina and this is noticeable in his sculptures.
