Misheck Makaza

Born in Guruve, Zimbabwe, 1977.
Misheck is from the Shona tribe His brother Tinashe was working at Chapungu Sculpture Park on a years residency programme. When Misheck finished his schooling he decided to join his brother and worked as his assistant. It wasn’t long before he was sculpting his own pieces that were bought by various customers of his brother. His work is influenced by nature, flowers, cloud and mountains. When Tinashe passed away July 2022 Misheck carried on working full time to honour his brother.
