Mike Mugavazi

Guruve, 1983.
Michael lived in the Mudhindo area which was rich in raw stone as a result of this he was exposed to renown sculptors such as Brighton Sango, and Jack Jonas, from an early age. By 2005 he was sculpting full time with his brother in Mudhindo. In 2008 he moved to Ruyamuro joining a sculptor named Get Jackass who offered him a workshop allowing him to teach young up and coming artists. He is now a full time sculptor with Mvuriwi Art Centre. He gets his inspiration from Love, happiness, birds and animals.
