Michael Gillespie
BORN:
1929 – 2012. Lived in Histin, Cambridgeshire.
Michael was a teacher as well as a sculptor. He studied at Hammersmith College of Art where he learnt bronze casting, he casted for Jacob Epstien, who was a huge inspiration to him. His work has been shown in many exhibitions. Most of his work is abstract. He published a manual called studio bronze casting in 1969. He taught at Hertfordshire University.
