Martin Matimura
He began sculpting in 2001, He started of as a gardener for the well know sculptor Lameck Bonjisi. He went to a garden party thrown by Lameck and the next day Lameck said to Martin, he thinks he’s got a good brain and he wanted to teach him sculpting. Martin owes all his knowledge to Lameck, they were great friends. After Lameck passed away martin continued working for his brothers Tafunga and Lovemore, after a while he decided he did not want to work for anyone so he sold his cow and bought himself some stones and began work on his own, he now has people working for him.
