EARLY LIFE:
He was first inspired by his cousin, Victor Mutongwizo, and in 1985 began to work under his guidance
Kennedy has also worked as a welder, carpenter but dedicated himself more and more to creating stone sculptures full of life and expression.

CAREER:
At first, Kennedy worked only on a small scale but as the years went by, he dedicated himself on a full time basis to sculpting, working on exquisite small pieces on which he built himself a reputation. He expanded his creativity and began to carve large pieces, including life-size types.
In his workshop, he mentors many young and upcoming artists in the art of stone sculpturing. One of his former trainees includes Terrence Musiyiwa, the founding member of AVAC Arts. He gained distinction by participating mainly in exhibitions at the National Arts Gallery of Zimbabwe (NAGZ).
