CAREER:
After many years working in forestry and tree surgery, Jona redirected his expertise with a chainsaw into sculptural practice. Drawing on his long standing connection with natural materials, he creates both artworks and functional pieces. His work often reflects a sense of humour and playfulness, which forms a key part of his artistic expression.
MATERIALS:
Primarily English oak and other durable hardwoods.
STYLE AND SUBJECTS:
His work combines sculptural form with functionality, producing pieces such as tables, chairs, and benches. These are designed to serve as focal points in outdoor spaces, while also demonstrating craftsmanship and character.
