J. Mariga
BORN:
Zimbabwe in 1927 to artistic parents. From an early age he would copy father and brother by carving objects from wood. He soon moved on to carving in soft stone such as Steatite. He soon got the bug and realised there was a lot more harder more colourful stones to be working with.
