Guy Gibson
BORN:
1918 -1944. He was the first commanding Officer of the famous 617 Squadron being involved in the dam buster raid 1943. By the age of 24 he had completed over 170 operations. He was awarded the Victoria Cross but sadly lost his life later on in the war.
