EARLY LIFE
Changunda developed a passion for art from a young age, although he did not attend formal art school. His journey into sculpture began through persistence and determination. While travelling to church at Silveira House Catholic Mission, he regularly passed the workshop of internationally acclaimed sculptor Amos Supuni. Despite initially being refused, Changunda persistently asked to become an apprentice until Supuni agreed. He trained under Supuni for three years, gaining invaluable experience in Shona stone sculpture, which became the foundation of his artistic practice.

Following his apprenticeship, Changunda developed his career as a sculptor, building on traditional Shona stone carving techniques.
