Chelsea Renton
CAREER:
Chelsea Renton is a figurative sculptor specialising in portraiture. She works primarily from life, creating clay studies that are later cast into bronze. Her process varies depending on scale, small clay sketches may take only a few sittings, while life size busts require six to eight sittings to complete.
Her notable works include a bronze bust of Sir George Christie displayed in the foyer at Glyndebourne. She has also created clay sketches of Denis Healey and Richard E Grant. Additionally, she produced a bronze bas relief of Sir John Edwards, exhibited at the Society of Portrait Sculptors.
Chelsea also completed a residency at Glyndebourne, where she created quick clay portrait heads of performers and staff.

She works mainly in clay for modelling, with final pieces cast in bronze.
