Bex Simon developed an early interest in metalwork and three dimensional design, leading her toward a career in blacksmithing and sculptural practice.

EDUCATION:

Studied three dimensional design in metalwork and completed a two year diploma in forge work skills at Hereford College of Technology.

CAREER:

In 1999, Simon moved to London and established her own blacksmith business with support from The Prince’s Trust. Working in collaboration with Stuart Watson, the practice has undertaken large scale commissions, including a forty-metre artwork for Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

MATERIALS:

Specialise in forged metal, using traditional blacksmithing techniques to create durable and expressive sculptural and architectural works.
