Developed an early interest in sculpture, dedicating seven years to formal art education, including specialised courses in figurative sculpture.
EDUCATION:
Studied at Stafford College Figurative Sculpture course and the Frink School of Figurative Sculpture, among other institutions.
CAREER:
Transitioned from a media career to stone restoration on historic buildings, and later taught at Stafford College, the Frink School, and the Art Academy in Southwark, London. He now works as a full-time sculptor in The Forest of Dean.
MATERIALS:
Primarily works in wood, using chainsaws and axes to carve large, expressive forms.
STYLE AND SUBJECTS:
Wood carvings are based on maquettes and studies inspired by ancient art and contemporary influences, blending tradition with modern interpretation.
AWARDS AND EXHIBITIONS:
Exhibited widely through galleries and educational settings, his work is recognised for scale, technique, and innovative interpretation of figurative forms.
