Nutcracker by Duoziam is a unique contemporary stone sculpture measuring 121 cm high, 75 cm wide, and 23 cm deep. The piece reimagines a mechanical nutcracker in sculptural form, blending precision with artistic abstraction.
Carved entirely from stone, the sculpture resembles an oversized clamp-like mechanism. At its centre, a large screw presses a smooth spherical form upward toward the top ridge, capturing the tension and motion of a functioning nutcracker frozen in time. The artist’s attention to proportion and structure gives the piece a sense of engineered balance, while the tactile stone surface grounds it in organic materiality.
Each component — the curved arms, central screw, and pressed sphere, interacts dynamically, creating both visual and physical tension. The geometry feels industrial, yet the hand-carved stone softens its mechanical precision. Subtle tool marks and textured surfaces add depth, drawing attention to the craftsmanship behind the solid form.

Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 1 person, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
We can provide a suitable sculpture plinth for an extra charge, please enquire for details. Experienced professionals handle all our sculptures, ensuring safe delivery and proper installation.
