Imprint is a unique minimalist sculpture crafted from Portland stone and mounted on a granite base. It stands 140cm high, 20cm wide, and 20cm deep. The work presents itself as a tall, slender block, simple in form yet deeply evocative in detail. On one side of the stone, two carved arms stretch out. They curve in opposite directions, wrapping around the surface as though pressing into it. The hands extend with fingers splayed wide, leaving the impression of touch embedded into the stone’s body.
The piece explores the tension between solidity and softness. The block appears immovable, yet the arms suggest intimacy and presence. Their gesture turns a rigid surface into something that feels momentarily pliable, as if the stone remembers touch. This interaction gives the sculpture a human quality, bridging the distance between viewer and material.
The granite base grounds the form with quiet strength. Its surface rises in a subtle pyramid, smoothed at the top where the Portland stone rests. This detail not only supports the vertical presence of the sculpture but also echoes the geometry of permanence and stability.

Delivery & Installation
The Sculpture Park will be in contact after purchase to arrange a delivery date. Delivery will require at least 2 people, which will be provided by The Sculpture Park wherever possible. We can provide an installation service upon request, email Sian at sian@thesculpturepark.com to discuss details. Delivery and installation will be provided by The Sculpture Park for mainland Great Britain, excluding the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Republic of Ireland. A mainland courier company will handle any onward shipping.
