Climbmate by Rinat Goldwater, Bronze, Unique, 190cm high, 50cm wide, 40cm deep
Climbmate by Rinat Goldwater is a 2 metres tall tree that houses over thirty arboreal animals and natural species. Each animal was individually sculpted with much attention to detail. Titled ‘Climbmate’ as a reference to climate change, it is a substantial piece that tells a story.
The core theme of this project revolves around environmental issues that Rinat Goldwater feels passionate about, encompassing animal protection, deforestation, climate change and so on.
The artist’s sincere hope in creating Climbmate is that it would encourage conversation about the decline of our natural world and the increasing endangerment of species.
Climbmate also serves as an educational tool, with each attached animal having its own unique features and habitat needs.
The sculpture is cast and finished in a beautiful verdigris patina and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor display. The piece is solid and very heavy.
