Optigon by Peter King is a free-standing integrated structure of two complimentary octagons, a compact lower cassette and an elevated larger upper chamber. Mirrors line both chambers making OPTIGON both personally intimate and expansive at the same time offering depth and contrasting play of light between you and the sky, continually varying at differing times of daylight and of season. OPTIGON is a playful essay on you and light reflection – to complete it you just need to step inside
Each person responds in their own way to OPTIGON’S subtle and not so subtle variance. As we all know, despite its reduced ambience, depth of light and colour a cold bleak day can capture something warm sunshine cannot show. OPTIGON is a very personal experience, a haven designed to capture you and the sky and in all its fullness of light and varied hue.
