Sue White-Oaks
Sue originally trained as an industrial designer, it was not until 1985 that she began working with copper in an artistic manner and she found a love of animals and insects. It was while she was working on a series of abstract sculptures based on industrial robots, she picked up a dead beetle and thought how it was a perfect little robot. She decided to create a sculpture of the little beetle robot, this was the first of many more insect sculptures which gradually progressed into various other animal, reptiles, birds and fish. Her work has been exhibited in many exhibitions.
Sue White-Oaks sculptures are available from the sculpture park.
