EARLY LIFE:
At the age of 6 Carharni was confined to her bed for six months due to an illness.
EDUCATION:
As a result of her parents constantly moving house she experienced many different schools in both the public and private system. She attended Chelmsford County High School and Mid Essex School of Art in Chelmsford. After that she took a job working with sheep on a farm. She then applied to Liverpool University where she studied for a degree in Veterinary Science.

EXHIBITIONS:
Stern had an exhibition at the Ransome Gallery in 1977. Her exhibition with the Alwin Gallery in 1981 was entirely of bronzes. She undertook two major carvings in wood, both Madonnas, one for the Diocese of Truro and the other for Willesden Parish Church.[2] She has exhibited in London, East Anglia and the Netherlands.
